RCA offers the opportunity to belong to an Honor Society.  The Honor Society is for students who excel at academics, behavior and community service.  A 3.5 GPA is required for admission and continued participation.  Students in upper elementary and middle school are eligible to apply and meetings usually occur on the first Wednesday of every month.  There is an annual $25.00 activity fee for returning members and an annual $35.00 activity fee for new members. The Honor Society operates on a demerit system.  Two demerits in any one semester will put a student on warning status.  Three demerits in any semester places a student on probation which excludes them from activities for the remainder of that semester.   Four or more demerits in any one semester will earn a student suspension for the remainder of the academic year and they will be required to reapply the following year.  Demerits are earned for a myriad of reasons including but not limited to; missing meetings, earning a detention, not following through with commitments, academic GPA falling below a 3.5, etc. Honor Society participates in a host of school wide and community improvement activities and service projects.
